Dr. Bortnick
Daniel P. Bortnick, MD, FACS
Dr. Bortnick has developed a reputation as a local and regional expert in cosmetic body contouring surgery, cosmetic breast surgery, cosmetic nasal surgery, and both cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgery. He is a recognized national expert on facial fillers and non-surgical facial aging.
He has also served as a NOVO advisor for Allergan Breast Aesthetics, as a teaching faculty member for Allergan Academy, and as the residency coordinator for Cosmetic Plastic Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He has served as a committee member for the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and as the President and the Treasurer of the Kansas City Plastic Surgery Society.
Education & Experience
A native of Kansas City, Dr. Bortnick attended Pembroke Country Day School, followed by The University of Missouri – Kansas City, where he earned a BA-MD degree. He then completed a five-year general surgery residency at The University of Kansas Medical Center, which included a one-year post-doctoral fellowship in molecular genetics and microbiology, followed by a two-year plastic surgery residency at The University of Georgia Medical College in Augusta, Georgia.
